The International Association for Structural Mechanics in Reactor Technology


The International Association for Structural Mechanics in Reactor Technology (IASMiRT), founded in Berlin in 1971, is an officially registered non-profit international scientific/engineering society. According to its statutes, its purpose is to promote and foster international scientific/engneering communication in the field of structural mechanics as applied to reactor technology. In keeping with this statutory purpose, the Association has been and continues to be instrumental in organizing biennial International Conferences on Strutural Mechanics in Reactor Technology and a number of Conference Seminars with the topical framework of SMiRT.
