Jean Rastoin

Jean Rastoin received his Engineering Degree from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris and became Ingenieur des Constructions Navales (State owned Shipbuilding Organization). He has spent his career at CEA, the French Administration for Nuclear Engineering where he specialized in the design of nuclear reactors. He is a Fellow of ASME and was the 1996 President of SFM, the French Society of Mechanical Engineers. He has received the Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur, the highest French distinction.
