It is with great sadness that IASMiRT note the recent passing of Bryan Erler on August 27th. Bryan had a distinguished career in nuclear engineering with Sargent & Lundy Engineers and, after retirement from there, his own consultancy Erler Engineering. He was 139th president of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (2020-2021) and a substantial contributor to the success of SMiRT throughout his career.
